After years of discussion, the Board of Directors of Bridgeton Onized Federal Credit Union made the decision to renovate our Bridgeton Office. The original thought was to purchase another building, but research showed that it would be less expensive to renovate. The other benefit to renovating is that we know what we have and everything will be new. Our building has “good bones”, as they say.

We started the project in July with hopes that everything will be completed by November. Hope is the operative word. Obstacles and delays are always part of a project that is this extensive, so we’ll hope for the best.

Our building will be getting a hip roof which will replace the flat roof that we currently have. It will extend beyond the second drive thru which will provide protection from rain and snow. The entire exterior will be redone including smaller, more efficient windows. The dreaded parking lot apron has been modified to reduce the rough transition from the street into the parking lot. A vestibule will be added to the front of the building which will allow more space inside to be used for offices. We do have a rendition of the outside of the building on display in our Cedarville Office. Please stop by and take a look.

And now for the big news…the Bridgeton Office will be closed beginning August 31st. It will remain closed until the project is completed. This could take up to three months.  While the closure will certainly be inconvenient to you, we have your safety and our staff’s safety in mind, and closing the branch will speed up the completion.
